We received a generous donation of a handmade quilt for our Be Inspired Dinner event next week on Thursday February 26th. This quilt has a story to be shared with our supporters, friends, families. Betty's Last QuiltBetty’s Last Quilt   The quilt was started in 2007 by the No-Sew group of quilters in the Mini Cassia area in Idaho. Mini-Cassia is short for Minidoka and Cassia Counties, two neighboring counties located in South Central Idaho. Now, you may be asking, what does No-Sew group mean?

New Year Brings New Promise

Filed by Expedition Inspiration @ 2:06 pm
First of all, I do apologize for being absent the past two months. I experienced the loss of a loved one very suddenly and it was just as if I was hit hard and lost my breath. It’s just now coming back. Sort of.¬† In this process I experienced, I came to understand all the different ways of grieving. When a loved one or friend dies, we certainly do grieve. But what about a cancer diagnosis?inspire   I vividly remember the day, the very afternoon I sat on the other side of my physician’s desk.

There is No Grief 101

Filed by Expedition Inspiration @ 8:04 am
Grief is not exclusive when a loved one passes, not the same for the next person and certainly not the same pain for anyone’s loss. I have recently experienced the loss of my Paul: my lover, my best friend, my future, my everything in an instant due to cardiac arrest. Cape Cape Lookout Oregon 2013   This event has prompted to give grief more thought than I ever have before. I have lost my parents, lost many girlfriends to breast cancer, lost other friends to other cancers.

What Did October Mean to You?

Filed by Expedition Inspiration @ 2:58 pm
Every year in October we are inundated by the Pink. Let me ask you this: is Pink still relevant? pink ribbon   I went to one of my favorite re-use stores in Boise’s Collister Center a few weeks ago, and Naomi made a casual remark that has struck me ever since. She said, “I think by now we all have awareness about breast cancer. I want to know what they are doing about it!” Naomi is right.   I can tell you what I told Naomi that day.
