In September, the Wood River Foundation, Inc. invested $150,000 to empower Wood River Valley students to make a difference in their community founded on the belief that generosity is the thread that binds our community. WRMS 7th Grade Blue Team raise $5,000 for EI!

Survivor Stories: Nancy Knoble

Nancy Knoble started as chair of the board in 2012. She has been a member of the board since 2000 and served as secretary in 2003 before being elected to chair elect in 2010. Nancy was one of the “originals” as she summited Aconcagua in 1995 with Laura Evans and the Expedition Inspiration team. She is a breast cancer survivor since 1995 after recurrence and a bilateral mastectomy.

Survivor Stories: Suzanne Pere-Mulenos

Suzanne Pere-Mulenos has been a breast cancer survivor since her diagnosis 14 years ago in 1998. Though diagnosed with DCIS, Suzanne’s unique case was treated aggressively. Suzanne’s unique case was treated aggressively due to her relatively young age, the extensiveness of the disease, suspicious family history and confounding pathology report.
